We are excited to welcome you to the Southwest Healthcare Medical Education Consortium Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. Established in Southwest Riverside County, California, we strive to provide the best medical care and education for our gastroenterology fellows. We’re proud of all that this program offers and invite you to explore further. Thank you for your interest!

Our sincere desire is to cultivate top-notch gastroenterology physicians. We know that comprehensive and patient-centered care must be provided across all cultural backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. With that in mind, we bring together several medical specialties to form a collaborative working environment that supports balance and holistic care. That’s how we strive to transform gastroenterology fellows into well-rounded professionals.

We are truly blessed that gastroenterology fellows have the opportunity to rotate through Temecula Valley Hospital, Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital and Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital. Temecula Valley Hospital is nationally renowned for its superior healthcare as well as patient safety. As a result, our fellows can experience a multiplicity of patients and medical conditions. On top of that, the faculty comes from diverse perspectives, which adds enriched depth to the environment here enabling physicians to thrive and grow in their careers.

We are proud to offer a program with some special characteristics:

  • A comprehensive blend of didactic and clinical experience, including exposure to advanced endoscopic procedures.
  • Innovative educational technologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Mentorship and opportunities for career development through research, publications and networking with leaders in the field.
  • A collaborative and patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing communication skills, empathy and cultural competence.
  • A culture of continuous quality improvement, implementing evidence-based guidelines and fostering a culture of feedback and reflection to promote optimal patient outcomes.

We have created an amazing program and are incredibly proud of it. We strive to give our students the best learning experiences possible from a diverse and passionate faculty committed to excellence.
